SEOGEOAudit

A free audit that scores how visible your site is to AI search. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. The signals that traditional SEO tools do not measure.

Traditional SEO audits do not measure AI search.

Your Ahrefs site audit is fine. Your Screaming Frog crawl is fine. They tell you about backlinks, broken links, schema validation, page speed. They tell you nothing about whether ChatGPT recommends you when someone asks about your category.

AI search runs on a different signal set. Entity clarity, structured content patterns, citation worthiness, semantic precision, the quality of how your topic is covered. None of these show up in a traditional audit. So plenty of sites going through a “modern SEO refresh” are still completely invisible to the systems that will define search over the next 24 months.

That gap is what SEOGEOAudit measures.

What gets checked

Each scan runs across seven categories, scored individually so you know exactly where you are weak.

Entity definition
Is your brand and category clearly defined for AI parsing
Structured data coverage
The schema types AI systems actually cite, not the ones SEO tools default to
Content extractability
Whether AI can pull clean answers from your pages without hallucinating
Topic depth signals
Do you cover your subject end to end, or only the high-volume slices
Citation patterns
What makes you the source AI quotes versus the source it ignores
Authority alignment
The trust signals AI weights differently to Google
Direct visibility scan
Sample queries across the major AI engines, real responses, your appearance scored

I built it because nothing else did this properly.

By late 2025 every SEO tool was either ignoring AI search or bolting it on as a token feature. I needed an audit I could run on a client site and walk into the next meeting with a clear, prioritised list of fixes that would actually move the needle on AI visibility. Nothing on the market did it the way I needed. So I built it.

It is the same tool I use on every client engagement before I touch anything else. The audit is the diagnostic. My consulting work is the treatment.

What the report gives you

You give it a URL. You get back a scored report covering each of the seven categories above, with specific page-level issues and recommendations ranked by impact. The free report covers the headline scoring and the biggest fixes. The full report includes prioritised actions, sample AI responses for your category, and competitor comparison.

How this fits my consulting work

When you work with me, the audit is step one. We run it together, look at the results, and build a plan around what it surfaces. The advantage of using a tool I built and maintain is that I know exactly what each signal means and how to fix it. Not just what the report says, but what is actually behind the score.

That is the difference between a consultant who reads a tool and a consultant who built the tool.

FAQ

What is GEO?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimisation. It is the practice of optimising your site to be cited and recommended by AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. It builds on traditional SEO but focuses on different signals, entity clarity, structured data, content extractability and topic depth.

How is this different from a regular SEO audit?

A regular SEO audit measures whether you can rank in Google. SEOGEOAudit measures whether you show up in AI-generated answers. The signals overlap but are not the same, and the fixes are often different.

Is it free to use?

Yes. The headline audit is free with no signup. The deeper version with prioritised fixes and competitor comparison is paid.

Does it work for any site?

Any site with publicly accessible content. Local businesses, ecommerce, SaaS, content sites, professional services. The scoring adjusts to your category.

How often should I audit?

Quarterly is enough for most sites. Monthly if you are publishing heavily or making structural changes. AI search is moving fast, so what passes today may not pass in six months.

What do I do with the results?

Work through the prioritised list, fix what you can in-house, escalate anything technical. Or hand the report to me and I will fix everything for you as part of a consulting engagement.
